Hugo Novel Nominations reviewed by WorldCon voters/nominators:

Over the next few months, we have a real treat for you. I will be reporting on a focus group of readers consisting of WorldCon members who vote and nominate the Hugos.
Here is the general demographic breakdown, not perfectly accurate since different members attend different meetings, but generally we have:
80% attend U.S. WorldCons and 60% attend international WorldCons as well. Those that attend participate in Hugo nominations and final votes.
30% are female.
20% are non-white.
I don’t like offering this information simply because I believe it is immaterial. However I know there are those who will ask. To the members; I apologize for this intrusion.

Here is our schedule;
Best Novel (1827 nominating ballots, 587 entries, range 212-387)
The first and last scheduled (Skin Game & The Dark Between the Stars) are Sad Puppy three recommended works. All others (the other three) are NOT.

Late April or early May, 2015 – Skin Game, Jim Butcher (Orbit UK/Roc Books)
Late May or early June, 2015 — The Goblin Emperor, Katherine Addison (Sarah Monette) (Tor Books)
Late June or early July, 2015 — Ancillary Sword, Ann Leckie (Orbit US/Orbit UK)
Late July or early August, 2015 — The Dark Between the Stars, Kevin J. Anderson (Tor Books)
The replacement nominee {The Three Body Problem, Cixin Liu, Ken Liu translator (Tor Books)} will not be reviewed due to time constraints.
The 2015 Hugo Awards will be presented at: Sasquan, Spokane, Washington, USA, August 22, 2015.
