I was considering not posting this, because another superversive will be writing a full review soon and I’ll be giving some thoughts on it on the Castalia blog on Tuesday, but you know what? I think it’s worth saying.
I finished “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” yesterday, Friday the 10th. I started it Monday of the same week.
There are 64 episodes.
Watch this show. It is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Animated or live action, it doesn’t matter. I won’t go into why it’s so good quite yet – that’s coming.
But it’s better than “Death Note”. It’s better than “Cowboy Bebop”. “Cowboy Bebop”! It’s on the highest possible tier of shows with “Justified” and “Breaking Bad”. It is that good.
I was nearly late for work more than once because I didn’t want to turn it off. I’m still in shock over how good it was. No, how great it was. It blew me away. It is an unqualified masterpiece.
Don’t spoil it for yourself, by the way. Don’t think you need to see the original “Fullmetal Alchemist” series first. I never saw it, didn’t know the plot, and it didn’t matter.
Watch. This. Show.
You won’t regret it.
