Back in March, we announced a new series of anthologies Superversive Press was working on. The Planetary Anthologies are moving along nicely. Keep an eye on this blog for publication dates and other announcements.
If you’re interested in submitting to one of the anthologies, check out the themes below. Submit your stories for the anthologies to: [email protected]
Include which planet you’re submitting to so that it gets to the right editor. Any questions? Put them in the comments and we’ll try to answer them.
Mercury (journeys and messengers) and Mars (conflict and war) are closed for submissions. Thanks to everyone who sent in a story.
Venus (love and romance) is still accepting submissions until September 15th. The stories must be science fiction and not straight romance.
Earth (Discovery and daring deeds) is open through December 15th
I will be the editor for the Earth Anthology. Send me your best story of exploration and/or daring deed.
I’m partial to pulpy type stories of action and adventure, but willing to look at anything that fits the theme. The only rule is that it’s science fiction. How much or how little is up to you.
Even though humans have been on this planet for thousands of years, there are many parts still unexplored. Show me what lies in the vast depths of the Marianas trench or the darkest jungles of Africa. Take me on a wild ride through the mind of an alien psychopath exiled here by his own people. Dazzle me with the coolest tech toys not yet on the market.
You’re writers, be creative.
Okay, so there are two rules for the Earth Anthology. 1) must be science fiction/fantasy or elements thereof 2) Word count under 6,000
Jupiter (power, authority and leadership) is open until January
Saturn (time, age and endings) Deadline to be determined
Uranus (New beginnings and creation) is open through December 15th
Neptune (High seas and knowledge) Deadline to be determined
Pluto (Wealth and death) Editor Richard Paollinelli
Deadline: Feb 1, 2018
Stories of futuristic incredible wealth, amazing stories that deal with death – the two themes associated with the Pluto volume – or stories that take place on, or are centered around, the ninth planet of our solar system.
I’ll start accepting submissions on October 1st and all the way through to Feb. 1, 2018. You can submit your stories to [email protected] and remember to include that you’re submitting to Pluto so that it gets to me.
Only rules: It has to be sci-fi/fantasy or with elements thereof and word counts between 5k and 8k preferred.
