Why do SJW’s always lie?

John Del Arroz was uninvited from BayCon because members of the Con committee didn’t like his politics and when this broke the SJW’s circled the wagons and proceeded to tell a series of lies to cover up this revelation. Now it seems the File 770 crowd feels the need double down on those lies and Jon calls them out.

Mike — what’s your beef? There is a huge problem with politics and hatred of anyone who doesn’t toe the SJW line across the semi-pro cesspools that are many local conventions. Did you not read my blog on Vox Popoli about the absolutely nutty level of programming that Baycon’s had in the past? Did you not read the screen shots of their programming director, Susie Rodriguez, admitting that this was 100% political, or in her words “speech based on ideology”? Did you not see their perennial guests– in which they invite for their own awards program dedicated, ironically, to good deeds– who called me names, tried to punish me outside the convention and dropped crazy swear words at me, which Baycon refused to disavow?[easyazon_image add_to_cart=”default” align=”right” asin=”1940154146″ cloaking=”default” height=”160″ localization=”default” locale=”US” nofollow=”default” new_window=”default” src=”https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51YXPA-29DL._SL160_.jpg” tag=”superversivesf-20″ width=”107″]Star Realms: Rescue Run[/easyazon_image]

I even have the con chair who has admitted the political elements of it in messenger to me. He attempted to reach out to resolve this when the bad press hit them, because it’s big egg on their face, but refused to go as far as publicly apologize for the lies directed at me on File 770 and the behavior by their very unprofessional guests who made this personal. The truth came out even then. We can chat about that for your retraction piece, Mike, whenever you like.

But that’s not why I’m here or even why I posted to begin with. I posted because I care about Baycon. It’s my home convention. I want it to thrive. It needs to change, and instead of looking at their own problems, they came after me through Mike Glyer.

Why do they feel the need to behave like this and poison everything they touch?

  • One word: Gammas.

The core of Gamma men is the prioritization of ego over truth. Their secondary trait is their (mostly correct) fear that straight-up conflict of any sort will get them stomped.

We cannot be surprised that this produces passive-aggressive liars. All of which is neatly encapsulated in the entire concept of the “Secret King.”

The depth of control these underlying 2 pattern generators exerts over such men is well attested by the pattern’s predictability once identified. John C. Wright would likely chide me for using the words “awe-inspiring,” but that’s pretty close to how I feel, even after seeing it play out again and again. “Astonishing” doesn’t quite capture it.

I’ll add that Mr. Wright’s essay “The Logic of Illogic” does us a service by explaining the philosophical overlay that exacerbates this contemptible combination. He does so in a way that is highly relevant to the Superversive genre, in that it offers an endless mine for turning characters into convincing villains. But his philosophical explanation is ultimately an overlay. Gamma behavior is wired into the lizard hindbrain and will emerge under any philosophical system or religion; only the specific manifestations and pretexts are likely to differ.

Jon del Arroz did not tell the truth about how he was treated by the BayCon committee. He did not even tell the truth that his tennis invitation was a sly joke about me.

Mike — I certainly told the truth. You’re willfully ignoring a lot to come to that conclusion, and actively trying to besmirch my name (which is bizarre) to do so. I have never communicated with you before this, did not know who you were at all. I again have no idea why you wanted to pick this fight without even reaching out to me for comment. It’s disingenuous to go on blogs and then triple down and call me dishonest.

Second, tennis invitation is real and open. I get down to SoCal periodically and am happy to make that happen. In fact, I will go a step further out of my generosity and niceness and grant you an exclusive interview if you would like to correct the record on your website. Written, of course, so I can verify the questions and answers are as sent. Let me know.
